In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Michael in 2018, privatized military housing provider Balfour Beatty Communities is supporting the transformation of Tyndall Air Force Base into the “Installation of the Future.”

In September, Army officials and The Michaels Organization began construction of the Lower Stilwell housing development of Presidio of Monterey, which will include 108 brand new energy efficient family homes. This new project plays an important role in reducing the Department of Defense’s carbon footprint by deploying technologies to make homes more energy efficient, improving the energy resiliency of installations.
Corvias is expanding its solar energy program at Fort Riley by outfitting an additional 385 homes with solar systems in communities throughout the installation.
