Corvias, a Military Housing Association member company, kicked-off Phase II of its $92 million investment at Fort Polk to deliver 140 fully renovated homes and exterior renovations to approximately 1,000 homes by 2025.
Leaders at Fort Lee recently unveiled newly renovated privatized military homes completed in partnership with Hunt Military Communities, which has worked with the Army since 2007 to continually improve on-base housing for military families.
At Fort Carson, Balfour Beatty Communities recently launched a multi-phased development project to replace 60-year-old legacy military housing units with new, modern homes for active-duty military families.
The military family housing partnership between Corvias and the U.S. Army at Fort Riley kicked off the third phase of their solar energy program to deliver an additional 4.4MW within the housing community. When complete, Corvias will bring nearly 17MW of renewable energy to power more than 40% of Fort Riley homes.
The independently administered 2021 Air Force Tenant Satisfaction Survey results ranked all six Mayroad privatized military housing communities in the top eighteen, with survey scores increasing in every category from 2020 to 2021.
At Fort Rucker, the Military Housing Privatization Initiative partnership led by Corvias is facilitating large-scale energy upgrades to more than 1,350 homes and renovations to 100+ legacy homes built in the 1950s.
Balfour Beatty Communities’ non-profit organization announced $120,000 in total college scholarship awards to 49 residents – including those living in privatized military housing communities.
As Army officials discussed its partnership with The Michael’s Organization and the future of housing at Fort Leavenworth, a Service Branch official noted: “Never lose sight of what we have accomplished and are accomplishing through the [MHPI]. …We would not be where we are today with this marvelous community if we had not privatized the housing.”
MHPI partner Mayroad recently opened the new Air Commando Community Center at Hurlburt Field. The 10,000-square-foot multi-purpose, state-of-the-art facility will serve as a popular community resource for families to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities.
